Even More Camp Swap Cards

Well I found where I had saved the last swap cards from Camp. with my memory I hope I haven't got any of these wrong. As I said before I didn't get to make all the swaps so if yours isn't here its just that I didn't get to make it. I only made 2 cards on the Sunday. Anyway here goes.
 Amy used Inspired by Nature.

Silvana made her card with Flight of the Butterfly.

Susan Joyce gave us a note pad and pen set which was handy.

Richelle made a funny little penguin from punches.

My sister Sue cased this lovely card from the mini catalogue.
Well that is all for now. have a good week.

Paper Crafters Sampler

It is with regret that I must tell you that I have resigned my position on the design team at Paper Crafters Sampler, due to being sick for so long and a few other factors. Making sure I only used current US product and US measurements was at times a challenge. I would like to say a big thank you to Melanie Schulenberg for asking me to be part of the design team. I did really enjoy what I did and gained valuable experience. It was great to get to know the other team members and learn from them.Thank you

More Camp Swap Cards

Today is the first day that I am finally starting to feel so much better. I did cough a little in Church this morning but mostly only if the air is cold or I eat something cold. I have a little more energy and today I even did some designing of cards ready for the ESAD blog hop that I am participating in very soon. I even did my very first video and am going to learn to upload to Youtube and then my blog.... how exciting!!
Anyway back to what I planned for today and that is more of the swap cards from my camp. here goes.
The first one is Lee-Anne's using Cheep talk.

This Owl card is my sister Barbie's. i didnt distress the edges like the original.

Nicki made a lovely baby card with Nursery Necessities.

Jo cased a Tenealle Williams card and I just love this one. She did change it a little with an embossed background. Its a shame these colours are retiring.

I know I made more cards than this on the weekend but I cant find where I have put the photos so when I do I will come back with the others. I hope your weekend has been a good one.

Swaps from Camp

Each year on my camp we all do a shoebox swap so we end up having around 18 different cards to make at our leisure over the weekend. I didn't end up doing all of the swaps as I was tired and coughing lots on Sunday. I did most of them though and plan to show you a few of them. Everyone did such a great job even those who don't make cards all that often.
The first card is designed by Lee-Anne for her mum Chris. Using Pocket Silhouettes
the next card is Helen's. Season of Joy using Bashful Blue. Nice and cool.

The following card is Jenny's. A lovely card with Lovely as a tree.
I'll be back later to show you a few more.

Sketch Challenge at Camp

I used my Sketch Challenge 290 card for my shoe box swap for camp and then on Sunday challenged all the ladies to make a card using this same Sketch. Everyone joined in and made some really wonderful cards. I then had everyone vote for their favourite and Nicki received the most votes.
This lovely black Christmas card is Nicki's.

Camp News

hi there,
Well my annual camp last weekend went very well and we all enjoyed making the shoe box swaps and choosing hostess gifts when our names were drawn out.
I have a few photos to show you. This is the little gift I gave each of the ladies in their rooms when they arrived. I put a picnic bar in them. I did case this little bag but changed it so I only cut once with the circle die with the bottom folded under to form the base.
This next gift was for the hostess gift swap. I used the scallop die again and made this box and put in a roll of ribbon and some of the roses I had made for the top. The second photo is of the hinge at the back and then inside the lid is a couple of flowers that I put there because I made a mark there and wanted to cover it up.
I will show you some more camp photos in the next few days. Thank you to everyone who came along and helped make it such an enjoyable weekend.

Helping Hudson Technique Challenge

One of the challenges over at the Helping Hudson blog is a technique challenge. Its embossing and sponging. This card uses both these techniques so I thought I would enter it into the challenge. I have been busy getting ready to go on my annual stamping camp. I am looking forward to getting out of the house and having some wonderful company for the weekend.

No Sew Ribbon Roses

Hi there,
How is your week going. So far I have just been resting and getting ready for my camp on the weekend. I had stamp club on Sunday and I thought I would show you what we did. I used the new Fancy Flower punch and did the no sew ribbon roses for the centre. Also I used the new embossing folder vintage wallpaper and the stamp set Perfect Punches.

Also yesterday was my 4th anniversary of joining Stampin 'Up!. It doesn't seem like 4 years and I have loved every minute of it.
I'm still coughing but improving a little each day.

Helping Hudson Sketch Challenge Week 2 Winner

Wow I just found out that I won this week's challenge at the Helping Hudson blog. I'm so excited as I haven't won anything for a long time. I gave this card to my dear friend Lee-Anne for her birthday and she loved it.

SC292

Here are our second sketch challenges. These are the cards we made using SC292 from SCS. This was a little harder to do due to the pieces jutting out to the side but I think we all did a good job of it. The actual card is 9cm wide and the pieces out to the side go out to the 10.5 cm mark.
Jennie's card is made using the same set as her last card and that is Friends Never Fade. She has also used the new DSP Greenhouse Gala.
Colleens card is made using Kaiser stamps and DSP.

Mine is using 2 new sets that I borrowed from a friend. They are Extreme Elements and Extreme Guitar.
That is all for today. One thing about staying home resting is that I have been able to blog more than I usually do.

Sketch Challenge 290

hi again,
As promised here are some cards I made yesterday with my friends Jennie and Colleen. Every month we get together and we all do 2 cards each following a theme that the hostess chooses. Jennie was hostess this month and chose 2 sketch challenges. Even though Jennie was hostess my friends were kind enough to come to my place, as I'm still not well enough to go out for the day. Anyway one of the sketches we did was SC290 from SCS. This was a sketch that we all enjoyed using and here are the cards I made using the kits the others provided and also my card.
The first card is Jennie's. She has used a new set from our sneak peek called Friends Never Fade. I wasn't really keen on this set but I do like what Jennie has done with it.

The second card  is Colleen's. She designed her card using stickers and it also is a lovely card for Christmas.

And here is my card which I made using a new set that will be out on September 1st called Elements of Style. I love this set and enjoy using just a couple of colours with it. I have also used the same embossing folder as Jennie named Vintage Wallpaper. I love it.
I went for another chest Xray yesterday and it still shows some pneumonia but its resolving. I also still have a small area of lung that has collapsed so I'm not completely better yet but still am so much better than before. I'm having a good rest today and plan to keep resting as I think that is about all I can do apart from drinking lots of fluids.I'll be back tomorrow with the other sketch challege we did.

Secret Sister Card

Hi there, I hope your weekend is going well. Yesterday I was lucky enough to receive my first card for this round of Secret Sister over at ESAD. this card is made using the top note die and the stamp set Cottage Garden. She also sent me a lovely book mark made with the same set. I like to read so I'm really loving this bookmark as I have been using a piece of paper lately. Not that I don't have other book marks but that was handy when I started this book and I have never got around to changing it. I will now as I have this lovely new book mark. If my Secret Sister reads my blog then thank you so much for this gift and card. I'll be back soon with some cards I made yesterday.

My Little Companion

While I have been sick I have been sitting on the lounge with my Lap top on my lap and Skye comes to visit and decides to jump up and sit on my chest. She did this 3 times one day. I let her stay there for awhile but I cant see through her so if I want to do anything I have to get her to move.  I have made a card today for stamp club but haven't photographed it yet. I hope to do that tomorrow so I can show you then.

Another Helping Hudson Challenge

I have done the next 2 challenges from the Helping Hudson site. The 3D challenge is to make an octagonal box and I decided to make mine a holder for pens, aqua brush, bone folder etc. I used a favourite technique of mine for the main box and that is versamark resist and brayered over it with Wild Wasabi. I then made some little flowers using the boho blossoms punch and sponging with pink pirouette. the leaves are punched with the 2 step bird punch and wild wasabi card.
The other challenge this week is a colour challenge
and here is my card I made yesterday. I decided to use Vintage Vogue and my Big Shot with the top note die and polka dot folder. What do you think?
I'm really enjoying having some time and energy to do some stamping. Now I am off to get ready for tomorrow nights Stamp Club.
