Out of the Box with Framelits.

today's technique is Out of the Box using framelits. I love having a piece of the image just outside the edge of the main shape. I have used the Pleasant Poppies stamp and Real Red with Old Olive. This is a gate fold card.

I hope you are enjoying seeing all these techniques. Wow February has flown by and Summer is over. Autumn is a lovely time of the year if it starts to cool down soon.

Faux Fabric Technique

Today's technique is Faux Fabric. I love this technique as it looks so soft and pretty. I have used the square lattice embossing folder over the stamped and coloured image. The stamp set is Bordering on Romance.

Watercolour Wash Technique

the second technique I have for you is Watercolour Wash. This is such an easy quick way to add some colour to your stamped image. You can use a neutral cards stock or water colour paper. I have used the birds from Serene Silhouettes stamp set. The colours are Wild Wasabi. Summer Starfruit and Bashful Blue.

Technique Camp

Hi there,
I have just been on my technique training camp for my team. It was a great weekend and I managed to teach them 14 techniques. Over the next 2 weeks I will show you the card sample I made for each technique.
The first technique is Delft Tile. I love this technique as I have always loved the blue and white tiles and also plates etc.  I have used Marina Mist. The stamp set is You are Loved. I cased this card. The Simply Scored board makes this technique very easy.

I will keep these posts brief so if you need to know anything just ask.

Honeycomb Embossing Folder

hi there,
I am on a roll..... so here is some more cards for you.
These were made using the Honeycomb embossing folder. It gives a nice strong emboss. I cased the first card but there is no watermark on it so cant name the designer right now. I have used Collage Curios for the bees and Curly Cute for the sentiment.

This second card is using an idea that is on lots of card right now but this card is a case of a Mary Fish card. Just changed the colour's. Its a great idea to cut out the hexagons in DSP and make a pattern with it.

I used this same idea and designed this card. I have made the little yellow flowers with the new 7/8th" scallop punch.

I'm sure I will be using this embossing folder lots.

Sweet Threads Simply Sent Kit.

Hi again,
More cards to show you today. These 2 cards are the Sweet Threads Simply Sent kit cards. I just added a mat behind the cross stitched piece. They don't take long to stitch and make a nice card.

It has been awhile since I have done any cross stitch but it is easy to pick back up.

Whale You Be Mine

As yesterday was Valentine's day, I have to show you this card that I made. It is a case from Rhonda Griffin. I didn't have the cloud embossing folder so I sponged my clouds. Also I don't have the Oh Whale set yet so I printed the sentiment on the computer. Isn't it cute?

This second card is one I made up with bits I had on my desk. Its great that you can use the Happy Whale sizzlet die on its own.I had the clouds embossing folder for this one.

Have a good weekend

Swallowtail Butterfly

Hi there,
On Sunday I had a really great launch of the new mini Catalogue. Now I can show you some more cards that I made for samples. Some are my own creations and some are lovingly recreated by "case"ing from the wonderful resource of the internet.I will try to acknowledge the designer when I can. Today I showed my Thursday ladies how to make a wonderful popup card that I found on my surfing of the net. It is so nice. I changed the colours but otherwise cased it completely. It was a swap made by Michelle Lembcke. The other stamp set used is Summer Silhouettes.

The colour's I have used are Island Indigo and Daffodil Delight and the green is Old Olive. The butterfly is embossed with black on whisper white and then sponged over with the 2 colour's.
The second sample I made using this stamp is one by Brandy Cox. A simple black and white card.

Come back tomorrow and I will have more samples to show you.
have a nice day

All Dressed Up

hi there,
I have been busy making card samples for my launch of the Seasonal mini. I haven't bought this stamp set or die but my friend Jennie kindly let me play with hers. I'm thinking maybe I need to get it, but we have 5 months before the Catalogue finishes so plenty of time.
I decided to use the centre step card design for this card and also the new Simply Scored Borders Scoring Plate to emboss around the edge of the framelit. I made the tiny rose out of the new 7/8th" Scallop circle.

I hope you are keeping cool if you are in Perth with this heat wave or maybe you are somewhere that you need to keep warm. Whatever you may be doing today I hope you are enjoying your day.

Patterned Occasions

back again as promised. Today's cards are made using Patterned Occasions. I planned to make cards with all 5 stamps but didn't get them finished before starting on other things. Do you get distracted like that? Anyway here are 2 cards finished. I kept them very simple. Once again I used my sponge block to lightly go over the embossed card. It adds something extra to the card.

Now I need to photograph some more cards so I can get them up here.

Feeling Sentimental

hi there,
Its been nearly a week since the blog hop and I haven't got back here to show you some of the other cards I have made using the Sale-A-Bration sets. I am so forgetful... sometimes it scares me!!
These 2 cards are made using both the feeling Sentimental stamp set and the Vine Street embossing folder. The first card I have used a sponge block and gone over the back (debossed) of my embossed piece with Early Espresso  The second one is the using the front and going over it with the sponge block but this time only lightly.

Come back tomorrow and see some more of the sale-a-bration sets.
