Two Toned Embossing.

Today is my last post on techniques.
For this technique I used Gold and Silver embossing powder and added one in just a few areas and then tapped off the excess and then finished with the second colour. I think it looks really nice for something a little different.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing all the different techniques that I taught at my training camp. If you want to know more about how to do each of these different techniques then you can Google them or go to Splitcoast Stampers and find these and so many more.

Thank you for stopping by over the past week.

Salted background.

This technique was fun to do. Everyone had different results. I found it hard to get a nice image stamping straight onto the salted area as it was rough, so would suggest using it as a background and adding a stamped piece on top. You need Glossy card and re-inkers, water and salt.

One more technique to go so come back tomorrow for the last one.

Another Faux....

yes its another Faux for you today. This time its Faux Cloisonne  I have been meaning to try this technique for years and just never got to it. You just emboss an image on glossy magazine pages and cut them out and put on your card. I just have the technique sheet for you today as I am not happy with the card and haven't had time to remake it. Each technique we did I made a 6x6 sheet for the ladies to add to an album.

Faux Patina

hello again, Today I have another Faux for you. This time it is Faux Patina. This makes a great background. Again I have used the stamp set Stippled Blossoms.

Just brief posts for this week as I have plenty to keep me busy.

Faux Flocking

Today's technique is Faux Flocking. To make the flocking I rolled up a piece of card and used a grater to make some fluff. You can use a distressing tool or scissors along the edge of the card as well but its much quicker to grate the card. Then I used the tombow glue to attach it to the stamped image. It works well for trees and larger areas as with smaller stamped images you lose the shape. The oak tree from Lovely as a Tree looks great done with this technique.

I've done it again.....

....wow it has been 2 weeks since I last updated my blog. The time goes by so quickly and I totally forgot to come back and show you the rest of the techniques. What's new....
I had a lovely time away in Manjimup with my family and have been enjoying creating some wonderful cards that I have been saving on Pinterest.
I am now making the cards for my annual fundraiser for our Lesmurdie Baptist Church Mission. The all day stamping day is on May 4th and I would love it if you are in the area and would like to come along and help me raise some funds for the Church Mission for this year. It is a fun day and the lunch and morning and afternoon tea is scrumptious. The cards are great too!

Anyway here is the next technique that I taught at my team camp. It is Faux Silk. I love the Stippled Blossoms stamp set and used it here with Pretty in Pink and Rose Red.

I will show you the rest of the techniques over the coming week.

Faux Dry Embossing.

Another technique for you today. This is a very simple card using the Faux Dry Embossing technique. Colours are Bravo Burgundy and Sahara Sand. Two colours that I have not used in a long time so thought I would get them out.

I hope you have had a good weekend so far. We have a long weekend here in Western Australia so another day to play.
I am off to Manjimup for a few days now so will post some more cards later in the week. Enjoy your week.

Baby Wipe Technique

Today I have a card using the Baby White technique. I loved this way of stamping. Making up your own unique stamp pad with a baby wipe and re-inkers. Such fun. I used my new stamp set Raining Flowers and the words from Perfectly Penned. The colours I used are Rich Razzleberry, Island Indigo and Pool Party.

Crayon Rubbed Embossing.

thanks for visiting again. Today I have a card made using the Crayon Rubbed Embossing Technique. The technique tells you to use a white crayon but I used a pink one and then as it coloured my white card stock I decided to add some Pink Pirouette to tie in with the background.
The stamp set used is Serene Silhouette. I brayered with Bashful Blue and used used Marina Mist and Whisper White card.
If you would like to learn some of these techniques you can find the instructions in many places on the net. Just Google them and see what you find.
